There is little doubt that hospitals involved with medical chopper flights will see a renewed emphasis on the safety of helicopter takeoffs, flights, and landings.

In the face of mounting pressure to curb deadly medical flight accidents, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced it intends to publish new rules for hospital emergency medical service (EMS) flights.
