The wind from a medical helicopter’s rotors snapped a tree branch, leading to a power outage at a medical center last week.
Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, MA, was forced to operate on generator power for a short time May 14, a security officer at the facility told the Telegram & Gazette of Worcester.
The broken tree limb took down power lines, which resulted in a small fire. The helicopter landed safely at the hospital to pick up a patient, the Telegram & Gazette reported.
