Work closely with clinicians and other staff as you determine how you triage your COVID-19 and influenza patients as the flu season escalates.
Managing both kinds of highly contagious respiratory infections will pose unique challenges, predict experts, especially when they occur alongside other emergencies.
For instance, both the CDC and Health and Human Services’ ASPR TRACIE have warned that the smoke from wildfires will create respiratory problems on top of flu or COVID-19, while hurricanes along with associated tornados and flooding also loom large this fall. Managing both kinds of highly contagious respiratory infections will pose unique challenges, predict experts, especially when they occur alongside other emergencies.
