What to know before you take the plunge

For many companies, outsourcing security is nothing new. It can be cheaper and easier, and many companies have been using this option for years. But much is at stake in healthcare, including patient safety and accreditation. Clinical staff members and ancillary departments, such as security, must learn the nuances of hospitals through specialized training. Yet contracted security is an option many healthcare facilities are exploring.
