The changes in scoring, which center on criticality levels for deficiencies, are more likely to give you heartburn than the latest chapter numbering, said Dean Samet, CHSP, director of regulatory compliance services at Smith Seckman Reid, Inc., in Nashville. Samet spoke during HCPro’s 3rd Annual Hospital Safety Center Symposium, which took place in Las Vegas May 14–15.
