At least one southern California healthcare facility dealt with damage and patient injuries after Tuesday’s earthquake in the region.
St. Jude Centers for Rehabilitation and Wellness in Brea, CA, evacuated about 75 patients and 200 employees following the quake, according to The Los Angeles Times.
The evacuation was prompted by tiles and metal falling from the ceiling, a spokesperson told The Times. Two patients suffered minor injuries.
The earthquake also broke a sprinkler pipe in the facility, the newspaper reported.
