Patient escapes restraints and allegedly attacks workers

An attack at a hospital saw the assailant allegedly whip workers in the back of their heads with an electrical cable from a piece of medical equipment.
The suspect, who had been restrained because he was intoxicated, broke free and started allegedly punching and kicking ER employees at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY, according to the Associated Press. Six people suffered minor injuries in the attack, which occurred on Monday.
The suspect also allegedly threw a heart monitor at a nursing station.
